Today was the last day of summer training and for a change we had no morning mobility. We had to be at coachs’ house for 8.00am for a little walk up a mountain 1388m to the Vorderkaiserfelden Hut, a restaurant and bar which is run by a man from Dublin - random! It took us 2hrs to get to the top but the views all the way up were the best I have seen in training so far. When we got the the top we had brunch and a well deserved beer to celebrate the end of the summer training camp. Whilst at the Hut, coach pointed out we could see the peaks of three different countries, Austria (which we were in), Germany and Italy. We had a slow walk back down with me and Mat stopping to take more pictures. After we got back to coachs’ house we changed and took the oppertunity to go look around the city of Rosenheim. This gave us a chance to do some Christmas shopping and get a needed hair cut. It ended up that neither happened and we just looked around sports shops at kit we didn’t need or couldn’t afford! Before we left to come back to Ruhpolding, we packed the ski's in the bus ready to take to Obertilliach, Austria on Saturday. The team is now preparing kit for winter training which will start on Sunday, we are all looking forward to getting on some snow and letting you know how we are getting on.
