SAC Luke Tyler - Race Diary 29 January 2012

Mat & I leaving the Senior Novice Mass Start field for dead!
Race day again today everyone is begin to feel fatigue and tired. We got up for morning mobility at 7am. We left for team captains brief which started at 9 to find out all the information we needed for today’s race. After the brief we had the British Biathlon Union Annual General Meeting which went over what was going on in the sport. Once we got to the stadium it was the usual preparations wax skis mark skis and rifle and zero. The race when well for everyone Mat and myself won 1st and 2nd Senior Novice, Carl and Danny had a good race trying to chase Coach down who came 9th (brit) and the boss didn’t come last all in all a good day. This evening we went to a prize giving where Mat picked up a few medals (RAF SN Cross-Country Champion, British Biathlon Novice Champion) but unfortunately they presented the wrong RAF biathlon trophys, Coach did win but I was 2nd & Mat was 3rd (not bad for 2 novices ey!). We don’t have a race tomorrow so a chilled out day at the range sounds good and should be ready to go for the relay race on Tuesday.
