Happy New Year everyone.
The team is back (of sorts). To cut a very long story short the team has had to be merged into the RAF service team for this season. However the team will still be flying the Regiment colours racing in our suits (apart from those good enough to represent the RAF in the Inter-Service races during the National Championships when they will don the nicknamed 'Red Arrows' RAF suit).
The team arrived back in Europe yesterday and are competing in the RAC Championships in Austria until the 10th of Jan (which just happens to be Grant's 18th birthday!) with the first race being tomorrow after only 1 day on snow. The first race will be a 10km Classic race in testing conditions as it has been raining for 2 days now and the snow is heavy and wet. We will endeavour to post the full results (or a link) over the weekend. There will then be 3 more race days in this competition.
The coach (now a civvy) is also back for a couple of weeks preparing the team for the National Championships until the main RAF squad arrive on the 19th when they will all train together during the final preparation phase.
