SAC Danny Sinclair Training Diary 18 August 11

Chin-cher-ner-nin-ner!! 6:30 Carl’s iPhone alarm destroyed my peaceful sleep. Everyone awoke with the same aches and pains, mainly the back, caused by an intense start to the week. This led to a bit of a slower morning mobility, the bike which had been seen in the river for the last couple of days had been move out onto the bank. Being a Scouser I’m going to have to check it out for spares ;)

I don’t know how but at breakfast Luke managed to eat 8 Weetabix out of the bodybuilder’s bowl he had found. Next time though he’s going to have to push it to 12 or something to keep up with the Coach’s pace on the mountain biking; BEJESUS!! It wasn’t too fast on the roads but as soon as we hit the incline there was no stopping till we made the top. We couldn’t have been far off mach 3 on the way up.

It’s all down-hill from here Coach told us, Luke replied with a worried “I’ve heard that before”.
True to his word it was pretty much all downhill, a few bridge jumps and a couple of mountain bikers riders straying to the wrong side of the path plus Carl annoying Coach with his gay bell all added up to an exciting roll back down Ruhpolding. I’m sure Coach got lost ;)

Midday sleep felt like 5 minutes and we were back up off to the range hoping for a light session; it maybe looked like a light session but it felt far from it, with energy levels low and the heat rising to 32 deg C plus added to a cocktail of sweaty tired people. After a lot of shooting and laps of Germany (that’s what it felt like) Coach decided to have a little shooting competition. It’s a bit complicated to explain on here but to put it simple it was first to knock down 8 targets. After a load of moaning from Carl (girl!!!) we had to shoot in standing (if it was prone it would have been a easy win for me). Coach won and being cheeky in the final started knocking down Luke’s remaining targets. On the way back everyone looked like they need some morale so I put the magic song on by b.o.b. Normally we would all sing along but no reaction this time, which was a sure sign they were all cream cracker’d!
