SAC Matt Bailey Training Diary 9 August 2011

We woke up today with the normal routine Luke took us for a 15 minute abs session that started the day off nice. After we had finished our morning mobility we cracked on with washing and having breakfast then got our kit ready we were doing a classic session up the Untenberg in the morning. Coach soon arrives and we all set out from the house in the van.

When we got there we were all going to take turns, one person driving up in the van while the other four classic’ed up the hill with Coach giving us coaching along the way. We got kitted up but Danny had been a bit of an admin mong and had left his poles back in the UK. It was a hard session but with Coach’s help we had all started to improve our classic technique.

We headed off home after for lunch, tortellini why notJ. We headed out again for the afternoon session we were going down the range to work on our standing positions. We got there and went straight into zeroing as we improve our shooting this process that we have to do at the start of every range was getting quicker and quicker. We went into one shot drills to work on finding a comfortable fire potion and being able to maintain it over and over again. After we had done this for a while we popped on our skates and did no pole skating around the track then shooting in the standing position with a bit of an increased heart rate and breathing. We did this for another hour then finished for the day.
