SAC Carl Pointer - Training Diary 10 November 2011

We started the day in the usual fashion, morning mobility and then Mathew took a fatiguing core session.
This morning everybody felt the weeks hard, intense training taking its toll!  Each week we see the training hours escalating as our bodies are broken, mentally and physically with only the weekend to recover...No wonder all of our bleep test scores have improved! ( Yes I got 14.8, BOOM :D )
Anyhoooser! The team and I endured a nice, long easy skating session up brutal Sudelfeld mountain, which only took us 1Hr 27Mins...Beating our previous time of 1Hr 35Mins, yey.
Later today our soar, aching legs and floating heads went on a steady 30Min jog to get rid of the majority of our lactic acid for tomorrow's race simulation, Ahhhhhhhhhhh :)
Its disappointing to know that I could have been in Norway right now, competing against Britain's best.  Due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to leave the small pond of little fish and move to bigger and better things.  Never mind, Danny and I are very determined and optimistic to shake up the 'Great Britain' and 'Army' teams as the 'under-dogs' at the 'Nationals', early next year :D
