SAC Carl Pointer - Training Diary 16 November 2011

Everybody is still getting used to the frighteningly, freezing, foggy starts! How did we start our day? The same way we ALWAYS start the day viewers, with morning mobility and a core session led by moi :D
This morning the Coach and the Boss had to adapt and overcome the icy conditions on the Ruhpolding race track.  We were all sniggering in the mini-bus, hoping that our 'hard session' was going to be cancelled lol...It wasnt haha!  In stead we did 8 rapid repetitions of hand picked hills (the only hills that weren’t iced up were...Yes, the big ones!).  I'm not going to lie, it was disgusting!  I had a nose bleed at the end of the first rep!  Heavy wheezing choked our ears as we finished each rep, bad times!
This afternoon we had a more chilled out plyometrics circuit, along with some shooting skills, mainly focusing on fast drills on and off of the shooting point...ahhhh :D
Normally when we do plyometric combis (plyometrics and shooting), we complete a number of obstacles, then go into shoot. This time it was personally more enjoyable because we smashed out 1 obstacle and then into shoot. I like shooting, shooting’s nice... xD
