SAC Carl Pointer - Training Diary 29 November 2011

This morning the team and I split up into different groups, (Danny and Mat, the boss and coach, Luke and myself) for some mentoring, again just going over technical things while classicing. (Perfect practise = perfect) When I first hit the snow I was a little bit anxious about my technique and whether I'd actually be able to get my wax to stick, enabling me to '2 phase' up hills correctly. All fear was eradicated today and my confidence has shot up! Happy days!
Waxing classic skis, but where is the snow?

An enjoyable afternoon of easy skating, focusing on free-skating and general technique left a few aching legs. I think the majority of the team were corrected on their arms and how they were poling. Although, both Luke and Mat are doing very well, we just need to slow Luke down a little, so he doesn't blow out for the big competitions :)

Transitioning from roller-skiing to snow, different surroundings and a new course to ski has kept everyone uber excited! Eventhough, training days are becoming harder and longer. Homesickness is setting in and mummy's boy cant wait for christmas in Spain with the familia :D
