SAC Danny Sinclair - Training Diary 28 November 2011

This morning was the first classic session on snow for Luke and Matt, after a small loop for coach to see how everyone took to it we split off into two groups, Matt and I in one, Carl and Luke in the other. The idea of this was so that me and Carl could mentor the other two. They definitely stepped up to the mark by picking it up fairly quick.
First day shooting with skis on

This afternoon was a easy skate/range combi, with the aim being correct position on the mat. I didn't get off to the best start by leaving my boots back at the room (ADMIN!!). We started off with one shot drills with a short loop around the range, we then stepped it up with a bigger loop over a few hills and back into the rage with 5 shot (standard) drills. Before we knew it darkness had set and it was the end of the days skiing.

Also it was the first day of the swear box, which got off to a quick start with me slipping up plenty of times in the morning.. not to worry though with Carl soon to take the lead after lunch and continuing to extend his lead in the afternoon :P Most swear points daily = D.I (daily inspection) of the wagon in the morning. Most points throughout the week = Clean the wagon :/
