Today was only a half day of skiing we woke up for morning mobility at and Mat took today’s core session. Training was to start at but we got there a little early, so started around . Coach told us to do 1hr of skiing on our own and then meet up with him to do some more specific training. After and hour of skiing we met Coach and did some balancing and turning practice. He set out some cones we had to go down hill on one ski and weave in and out of the cones at the bottom by stepping. I think coach was the only one not to fall over during this I caught Dannys' fall and Carls' nervous face on video which will follow soon.
We also tired it round a sharp icy bend coach told us to take it aggressively as this will gain us time in races. Second part of this morning session was getting used to going fast downhill, transferring in and out of the tracks for classic skiing. We all managed to stay on our feet this time. The training lasted around 3hrs and our plan for the rest of the day is to go food shopping. Mat made lunch today using the food we had left over in the cupboards and fridge; he managed to pull off and nice lunch with sandwiches and omelettes. We did some dry shooting tonight and coach introduced some penalties if we disturbed our position too much when cocking the rifle - Mat won the most penalties and will have arms like Garth by tomorrow!
