This morning was a classic session split up into two parts, the first part was a nice easy ski for one hour and it was a nice cruising pace giving us lots of time to check out the scenery. Whilst on one of the loops we bumped into Fay Potton who is an RAF Officer on the GBR Team. We had little chat about how training is going and all that good stuff.
The second part was a hard efforts session, it was four loops of three different hills with the focus was on good technique. Coach was taking some video of us on different parts of the course, and in the evening we looked back at the footage and critiqued our technique. The main learning point to come out of the review was that Carl manages to get his back parallel with the ground when two phase up the hills!
This afternoon we set off down the range starting with one shot drills. The plan was to practice with relay rounds (hand fed) after each shot, but we binned it because it was a bit fiddly with a magazine on that still had rounds in. Later we set off to do eight loops alternating between a small and a big loop, the first four shoots were normal and the last four were relay, (three extra rounds to use hand fed) everyone managed to only drop a few shots :).
