Building up to the first race of the national championships and everyone is getting exited, it’s the 15k classic to get us started, this year we have a much stronger team all round, so hopefully we can push further up the ranks.
Today we were testing skis for the crazy weather conditions, (loads of rain then loads of snow,) we were basically skiing around the course to see which skis feels the best for that condition . also we had to inspect the course to find the tricky parts, this was done while testing, on the course there was classic spurs all over the place, most annoyingly at the bottom of the big downhill’s, this managed to catch a few of us out, good luck to the less experienced skiers.
So tomorrow looks like it’s going to be a tough race with the slow conditions and large distance, but no need to moan as everyone has the same conditions. Wish us luck.
