Well today was the gruesome 15km classic race, and gruesome it was! It was mainly a double-pole race with a few giant hills of course!
Racers were pummeled with snow and their coaches were left with a tough decision on which wax/waxes/method to use. Today hairy skis (classic skis that are roughed up with sand paper on the kick-zone to form very small plastic strands or HAIRS as it were) prevailed, thanks coach!

Some of the athletes wax of choice meant that they had to literally run down the hills.

Luke in the start gate |
This evening we attended only one of the many 'National Champs' presentations, where various medals and trophies were dished out. We also had the pleasure of meeting the parents of Luke and Mat, who have travelled all the way from Great Britain to support us all.
ps. We were all racing today so we were not able to get pictures, sorry!
