Today was the first race of the RLC's with the 7.5km XC Sprint. Coach had left everything to us to decide what order we go in, what wax we use and all the other normal admin points. The wax room is down in the cellar now so we don’t have to leave early to wax skis, we can do it in the morning or the night before. We had lunch at today so it would settle for the race which started at . We left for the course at 12pm so Danny had time so sort out everything he need to do warm up, ski marking etc... He was first to start at followed by Carl, Mat, me and Coach. The Team did well again with Coach coming 1st, Danny 7th, I was 9th, Carl 10th and Mat 17th out of 245 starters. After the race Danny and Carl went straight to the swimming pool to relax after a hard race whereas Mat and I came back to the house. Mat attempted to bake a cake yesterday and it did not turn out quite like he intended, so he was keen to have another crack at it. The Team’s next race is the 10km XC Sprint with a mass start on Thursday, so a gentle training day tomorrow.
