Carl Pointer - Training Diary - 03 Aug 2012


Today we started off with a great session in the gym! Circuit training in 'Rocky's gym' isn't for the faint hearted! 4 x 8 different stations, from tricep dips, punch bag to bench press and pressup-crunches using TRX ropes. We spent 1min on each station, with 15 secs between to get into position and 5 mins rest after 1 whole circuit. Haha that's gonna hurt in the morning! ;)

All important skiing, specific, strength training to make us absolute meatheads! I mean to make us ski faster :D (cheesy smile of death)

This afternoon we mixed skating and shooting (skate combi)...After zeroing we focused on 5 shot drills (prone onto paper and standing on metal) and experimenting with the wind and adjusting our sights, in order to see some kind of correlation.
When the wind settled, the Coach went off to do the 10k sprint he missed out on yesterday. Concurrently, the younger ones completed 6 x 1k loops, again prone was fired onto paper and standing on metal...For each target we missed there was a nice 50m penalty loop waiting for us lol...1 more session in the morning before our weekend starts...Ahhhhh :D
