Morning mobility! Morning mobility! Morning Mobility! Yes I know its getting tedious right? Well that’s how our fun packed day, (I mean training day) started lol.
For the first session of the day we climbed a new huge hill 3 times on classic skis (definitely not my favourite, but hey it’s free phys! :P ) Most of the team were capable of getting to the top each time. Matt, being ‘special’, broke a pole tip and climbed the hill, 3 times without poles ouchie!
More tasty carbs for lunch and a good sleep followed by a phone call home. (No I’m not a mummy’s boy! Not all the time anyway J )
I have to say, I love shooting! It’s probably the most comparable thing to my job as an RAF Regiment Gunner. Apart from we get to go through 1000’s of rounds each year, a lot more one-on-one training And WE are in Germany instead of boring old RAF Honington, Living the dream!
Anyway, back to today’s shooting! Zeroing our rifles everybody’s group sizes are impressing Coach, but lets not get too complacent now. Coach made us do single shot firing on paper targets building up to firing on all 5 metal targets (I like! ). I also forgot to mention that in-between shoots we had to double pole around the Ruhpolding biathlon track on skating skis, all part of Coach’s plans to make us absolute pounders haha!
