SAC Luke Tyler Training Diary 5 August 11

Today we woke up at about 7am to blue skies. I say we, however, me, Carl and Steve woke up on time while, yet again, Matt’s alarm failed him (yeah, right!!!!!). After we dragged him from his bed, we went off and did morning mobility and some core work. We met the coach at 9:15 at Siegsdorf  for a loop, it gave me and Carl a chance to try our new poles. No complaints from me after 5 minuets but Carl’s wouldn’t dig in. On closer inspection we realized he put the tips on the wrong way round (Muppet) but we persevered with him J. Later on in the loop Coach decided to make us do some of the course with no poles. He also helped me improve my skate one so I am now an absolute pounder J.

At lunch it was apparent to me that we have been living together far too long. Matt and Carl had a lovers tiff over some nail clippers. I think I wasn’t paying attention but they seem to have kissed and made up now.

In the afternoon we went to the range to doing some prone shooting and ski ganging which is bounding up hill in trainers with our classic poles. After we all zeroed, we went ski ganging up 3 hills and then on to the range to shoot on the metal targets which fall when hit; we did this circuit 4 times. While me, Matt and Carl did this, the Coach took Steve to do some work on his classic skating technique. That’s was our day as far as training was concerned, however, we took it upon ourselves to go to the pool to have an intense game of water tag. I think we annoyed everyone else with our splashing water everywhere and giggling like little kids, not to mention Carl’s screeching and screaming like a little girl LoL!!!!! So we called it a day and are now looking forward to the weekend. Bring it on!!!!!!
