Mat led the morning mobility today after warming up all our limbs jogging we did our core exercises, working on our backs especially, as we all had painful backs during the 5km classic race up the Cairngorm mountain.
A four hour bike was on the cards today. Setting off at 0900, we headed off the usual way past the Chiemgau biathlon arena, it took the team one hour to reach the top of first steady incline abit faster than usual. We then headed up a track to the mountain coach had planned for us to climb but had to turn back around due to lumber-jacks cutting trees down close to the tracks, we then back-tracked on our-selves and headed up a route which the coach didn't plan but he knew of. It was a long dead end track about 5km uphill, with some very steep parts. As we started the climb Luke mentioned that my back tyre looked a bit flat and as we got into the climb I didn't seem to be getting anywhere with the rest of the team far ahead of me, I eventually caught up to Mat near the top of the mountain. When reaching the top my legs felt like lead and almost collapsed getting of the bike, after having my little pick-nick I felt abit better especially as I was watching all the flies who only seemed to be interested in attacking Luke.
Looking forward to getting back on the range tomorrow, it's been a few weeks since we shot last and hope all goes well.
