This morning we had a nice hour drive to a different training location on the border with Austria, something to mix it up a little. The coach warned us, “Its going to rain today, but I'm not sure when, so make sure you take your waterproofs” (obviously we always take them anyway)...It didn’t rain! 'Sods law', every single time we are reminded to take waterproofs, its the sunniest day ever!
Any-hooser! Our objectives for today were to climb Spitzstein (1596m) and another mountain called Kranzhorn which was 1365m above sea level, with a CRACKING view! (Nothing like the scrawny mountains in England lol).
We actually broke the whole thing up by classicing almost all the way up Spitzstein which took us no more than 1hr, then classiced up Kranzhorn for 15mins to a nearby car park, we exchanged our skis for trainers and finished off the brutal manly-mountain nordic walking.
No-one got snow-chains (coach's punishment when someone messes up) and all-in-all was an awesome half days training!
My highlight for me today was listening to Danny's 'Karl Pilkington' like views on religion, politics and sexuality lol
