SAC Carl Sinclair - Training Diary 06 December 2011

This morning Mat and I got to lounge in bed for a whole 1 hour extra and had the privilege of missing the usual strenuous core exercises!  However, there was no chance coach would let us miss out on morning mobility, lucky us lol.  Today was the teams’ first race on snow consisting of 3 x 2.3km loops, 2 shoots (1 prone and 1 stand), decent snow and a few fast bends.
Me approaching the range

The results are on the blog for you all to see. Im not going to lie I let myself down, I shot terribly and raced too hard on the first lap, big learning point!  Rather now than at the National Champs early next year.  Mat on the other hand smashed all of his prone targets down and raced well.  Coach being the coach did well as normal and the boss surprised me by not actually snapping anything -  poles, skis, bones..... lol.  All jokes aside he put in a good effort, just needs to remember those penalty loops eh boss!

Me after my standing shoot

Danny and Luke were on the bench for today, they still helped out massively by providing moral support, strategically placed spare poles and skis throughout the race-track and took photos.

One of the best things about today was actually seeing Ole Einar Bjørn Dalen (do your research!) shooting and doing his thing, just before we zeroed for our race!

Again, enjoying the snow training and friendly banter, but massively ready for Christmas in Spain with the loved ones! :D
