Morning mobility today was at 8.00am instead of the usual 7.00am and Carl lead the core strength session which was intense. This mornings training was 30mins of dry shooting where we focused on various coaching points. You can get as much out of dry shooting as you can on the ranges live firing. At 11.00am we went to watch an IBU race down at Obertilliach track and support the GB Team. The race was a mixed relay which had two females and two males racing. The British Team was just beaten by 1 sec into 16th place by the Swiss team, with Russia being overall winners.
After lunch we set off to the track for some efforts around the 2.5km loop which was the loop they did in the relay race earlier. We completed five loops working hard up the hills and a sprint finish each time. Today's afternoon session we feel was the hardest we have done on snow yet. Me and the boss took a fall in the worst place right in front of the GB Team coach and one the female athletes. Carl managed to break a set of poles when at lunch coach was saying how we have not broke anything yet this year – that’ll teach him! I hope it is an easy classic session tomorrow.
