SAC Carl Pointer - Race Diary 10 Feburary 2012

Waking up at 0800 to fit in morning mobility, eating breakfast and waxing my classic skis all before the coach arrived.
Today was the 4 x 5km cross-country relay, the first 2 legs were classicing (coach followed by myself), the remaining 2 legs are skating (Luke finishing off with Mat).
The coach and I set off to the racing venue early in order to prepare the correct kick-wax for both the RAF Development Squad and ourselves. Thankfully the first wax tested was perfect, yeah boii.
Coach got the team off to a cracking head-start (no pressure lol), which we all managed to hold with ease. However, Mat struggled on his last leg to keep the distance between himself and Dave Lamb, an ex-GBR athlete, which is understandable, but we managed to stay infront and win.
As we havn't yet got the results yet I won't get too cocky but we won! I know we can't win anything because we're a guest team but we still gave 100%
Every race we do, their are whispers of how talented, fit and professional we all are, always nice to hear!
