Today was the last day of Nationals and what better way to end it than a 30k military patrol race our team was the Boss, Coach, Danny and Carl. Myself and Mat where helping out with the running of the race. We where the last to set off which was good because the other team would ski in the course for us there was a 3 minuit gap between each team and 28 teams so it took a long time to get every team started. Before the race the teams where given a scenario which they had to remember and where asked questions on. If they didn’t know the answer a penalty was added to the teams final time. After a long time waiting it was our teams turn to set off during the race the team had to do various military stands like stretcher carries, jerry can runs while carrying 40k of weight between them. This was probably the hardest race in Nationals and we where looking for a good result but did not do as well as hope finishing in 8th position and 5th overall in SAS Cup still we are all happy with what we managed to achieve during all the races. We all now have a few days off to rest before we start RLC's and begin racing again.
Fantastic results all round guys! The relay must have been a real high. What a season. You should be proud! Good Luck at the RLCs.
