Everyone
has been paid today, so the day has already started on a major high, woop woop!
:D
Zeroing was quick in the heat on the range this morning. Static shooting, starting off with 1 shot drills in both the prone and standing position (4 mags in each position). Before getting on the mat we were given 1 individual point to focus on while firing (4 mags = 20 different points!) eg...Sight alignment and sight picture, breathing, left elbow, trigger pressure etc...
Later this morning we hit the ski jumps (well the
steps next to them!), completing 4 reps in total, with a mixture of
running, bounding and hopping. Sweaty! Each rep was carried out under our
respective 85% heart rate max ( around 165-170 bpm) and we weren't allowed to
set off again until our hearts had settled to roughly 125-135 bpm...heavy,
jelly legs!Zeroing was quick in the heat on the range this morning. Static shooting, starting off with 1 shot drills in both the prone and standing position (4 mags in each position). Siegsdorf called us for the second part of our strenuous day's training. Classicing a new region of the Siegsdorf loop to spice things up, Grant led the pace at the front.
This session was mainly to do time on roller skis, while the coach picked out small errors/things to improve on as we dripped sweat, niiiice!
